get it all off my chest rather than bottling it all up inside”

Counselling for Young People

If your child is between the ages of 11 and 18 years old, I can support them by giving them their own time to talk through their problems and feelings so that they feel heard and understood.

I offer shorter solution focussed work (6-8 sessions) or more long-term work, depending on the individual needs of the young person.

I have extensive experience  in working with young people from the ages of 11 upwards in1:1 therapy and in a group setting .

There are of course many reasons why young people might want to come for counselling. Below are just a few examples;

  • Experience of school including transition from primary school to secondary.

  • Exam stress

  • Relationship problems with friends or family

  • Self-harming behaviours

  • Low self confidence

  • Anger

  • Bereavement

  • Anxiety

  • Low mood

SO HOW DO YOU GET IN TOUCH AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

If you would like to get in touch regarding counselling for your child, please either email me at gemma@brightfuturecounselling.com or give me a call on 07825286458.

We can have a talk over the phone (or via email if you prefer) and if you are comfortable with how that goes, you can make a first appointment where I am happy to initially meet with you and your child.
